Inspired by this Instructable, a micro-CNC built from salvaged CD-ROM drives for the X and Y axis, a Shrimp for control and L293 H-Bridges to drive the steppers.

The purpose being a first and cheap introduction to the challenges of building, say, a 3D printer.

There are two salvaged optical drives in Abz's box (near the A0 printer) for this project.
