The aim is to make use of various low power wireless protocols/devices to enable a large site to monitor various environmental parameters in real-time and store for later retrieval via some software interface, without involving any additional wired infrastructure, only a smartphone. I have dev kits for Nordic's nRF51x22 devices, I'm thinking of nRF51422 to simultaneously use ANT+ or some mesh type fudge layered over Bluetooth Smart. Would like to get temperature and humidity which are both relatively straightforward using off-the-shelf components, however, I would also like to measure water vapour dynamics remotely. I have some ideas on how to do this but I need to talk to a scientist :-)
