Lots of wireless devices around the home transmit on the 433.92MHz - doorbells, temperature sensors, home automation devices, etc. Many of these devices use a simple system known as on-off keying (OOK) to send/receive messages over this unlicensed RF band.

Benjie has created a project Librarian RF to try and reverse engineer messages over this band.
